Gaëtan Bille: his experience of cycling in Africa and the Caribbean
Until the end of 2026, the Maison du Cyclisme Liège-Bastogne-Liège invites you to discover “AfricAntilles Vélo Passion”. This temporary exhibition explores the development of competitive cycling in Africa and the French Caribbean, as well as journeys through the African continent by bikepacking.
An interview with Gaëtan Bille at the heart of the exhibition
Accompanying the exhibition, a series of interviews gives a voice to enthusiasts from Africa and the Caribbean, as well as cyclists who have travelled through these regions.
Among them is Gaëtan Bille, a former professional cyclist originally from the Arlon area who lived in Soumagne for many years. A winner of the Grand Prix Cerami in Lotto colours, he also competed in Guadeloupe, Algeria and Gabon, adding further successes to his record.
In this short interview, Gaëtan looks back on his experiences and shares his perspective on cycling in these regions. Discover his story as part of “AfricAntilles Vélo Passion”.
