Oscar Freire: a signed jersey at the Maison du Cyclisme

The Maison du Cyclisme Liège-Bastogne-Liège displays several world champions’ jerseys in its gallery of exceptional jerseys. Among these collector’s items, discover a jersey signed by Oscar Freire, one of the great sprinters in cycling history.

Oscar Freire, three-time world champion

Crowned in 1999, 2001 and 2004, the Spanish rider is one of five cyclists to have won the elite men’s road World Championship three times. An achievement he shares with, among others, our Belgian champion Eddy Merckx!

In 2001, in Lisbon, Oscar Freire claimed his second rainbow jersey. Twenty-five years later, this signed jersey offers a wonderful opportunity to look back on the career of an exceptional champion.

Come and discover this piece of cycling history, owned by collector Vincent Piette, alongside the other jerseys on display at the Maison du Cyclisme!
