Providing a space exclusively reserved for bicycle parking is one of the criteria for the “Bienvenue Vélo” label. This facility helps provide a suitable welcome for visitors arriving by bike.

At the Maison du Cyclisme, this space is located beneath the glass canopy. Rings firmly anchored into the walls allow cyclists to secure their bikes with their own locks during their visit.

New signs to keep bicycle parking available

Despite this provision, motor vehicles sometimes occupied the space, restricting access for cyclists.

To make the purpose of this area clear, Aywaille’s municipal executive decided to have signs installed. Their message is unambiguous: parking beneath the glass canopy is reserved for bicycles.
